The Start of Making My Tombstone Dash

Kevin Welch once said, "There'll be two dates on your tombstone and all your friends will read them. But all that is going to matter is that little dash between them." It has occurred to me that this moment, right now, is my dash. That I am living what will forever become the memories of others, when all that is left is stories of who I was. It also occurs to me, "Cherene loved sitting on her computer and thinking about how her life could be," is not the eulogy speech I hope for.

So, I spent some time searching on the web. I found some books that outlined some paintings, movies, books, children's books, and places that I should see before I die. Then I took it a step further, I purchased a book written by Dane Sherwood entitled, "2001 Things to Do Before You Die." My plan is to start at any random place in this list and, slowly, cross off all 2001 things. But what if you can't, Cherene? One of them says become an eccentric billionaire, after all. Well then, I guess I shall sit on my death bed without that accomplishment, but not from a lack of trying.

The point is, dear readers, I wish to live for so much more than this. I wish to be so much more than this. And if all it takes is a seven dollar eBook and a dream to start that... I can be okay with that too.
